Thoughts after Remembrance sunday

Yesterday, I prepared a technical church sermon, based on the readings for the day, 1 Thessalonians 4:15ff in particular.  It was a fine sermon, but it was a little  too much 'in-house'.

As I generally try to, I watched the service from Canterbury Cathedral and tuned into their Remembrance Sunday service, in which they remember and honor their war dead.  Saturday was Veterans' Day for us, and I listened to the Dean of Canterbury Cathedral, the Very Reverend David Monteath's sermon.   I was so moved by it that I had wanted simply to play it from YouTube for us at Grace Church; technical issues with Youtube prevented me from doing that, so, giving Dean David full credit, I retold his sermon at both of our services.

The issues with Youtube seem to have ben resolved, and the link to Dean David's sermon is provided below.  I encourage you to listen to his wisdom and his words.
